The true foodie will have a dining bucket list. Here’s ours. Don’t miss out on these Dallas dining experiences:
20 Feet Seafood Joint
1160 Peavy Rd
Dallas, TX 75218
The lobster roll and ramen are the top recommendations at Dallas’ 20 Feet Seafood Joint. Unexpectedly for a seafood place, their pie also consistently receives rave reviews.
Amberjax
3011 Gulden Ln Suite 107
Dallas, TX 75212
Another seafood haven, Amberjax specializes in comfort food like fish and chips or seafood gumbo. Amberjax is what if Dallas added some Cajun to their cuisine.
Blind Butcher
1919 Greenville Ave
Dallas, TX 75206
Meat, meat, and some more meat. Blind Butcher is the champion of taking American staples and then combining them in fresh new ways. For example, the pastrami egg roll. Or the pork belly poutine. Brisket cheddar and jalapeno sausage. It’s heavy and hearty in the best of ways.
Brick & Bones
2713 Elm St
Dallas, TX 75226
A cool Deep Ellum spot to get fried chicken and a cocktail. Other Texas staples on the menu include deviled eggs done to perfection, jalapeno biscuits and gravy, elotes, and poblano mac n’ cheese. It’s perfect for a tapas-style night out involving a few refreshing cocktails with friends.
Cake Bar
3011 Gulden Ln #117
Dallas, TX 75212
Brace yourself for the cutest bake shop in Dallas. Layer cakes, pound cakes, puddings, cookies, and the required coffee to go with it are all served fresh here. It’s one of the most reasonably-priced high-quality cake shops in Dallas; a whole lot of sweet at a great value. Their confections are beyond beautiful, and their loyal customers promise that the sweets taste as good as they look!
CBD Provisions
1530 Main St
Dallas, TX 75201
Serving upscale Texas comfort foods in a beautiful space in the Joule Hotel, CBD Provisions offers menu gems like hogs head carnitas (yes; they bring you out a pig’s head), goat pie, pork rinds, and market whole fish. Be sure to check out their brunch menu, as well. It’s just as impressive. Whatever you do, save room for dessert. Their bread pudding selection is reportedly phenomenal.
The French Room
1321 Commerce St
Dallas, TX 75202
Everyone needs a bucket list restaurant to hold onto for a night when they feel like being super fancy. Nestled in the opulent Hotel Adolphus, The French Room is definitely a splurge. But it’s worth it for the beautiful historic rococo decor and classic dining experience. Notable dishes include the crab cakes, the lamb, the foie gras. Finish it off with sorbet, souffle, or anything of the desert menu, really.
Good 2 Go Taco
1146 Peavy Rd
Dallas, TX 75218
Most Dallas foodies worship Good 2 Go Taco. They’ve been hailed as a contender for the best breakfast tacos in the DFW area; a bold but fair claim. Fan favorites include the Hotlanta (honey butter, cotija, waffle battered chicken, and sweet potato hash), the Honey Bear (pasilla honey glazed bacon, spinach, eggs and goat cheese), and the Paris, TX taco (grilled hangar steak, spinach, eggs and a charred tomato with hollandaise sauce).
